DESCRIPTION:Temperatures are dropping\, it’s getting darker earlier\, wet and windy…these outside factors have a massive impact on the inside of our homes\, workplaces and\, most importantly\, our inner space – our minds\, hearts and souls.\n\n\n\nOn Monday’s we’ll be opening our doors to welcome in anyone who needs some warmth – a warm space\, some warming refreshments\, a warm smile! Along with friends at the Methodist Church\, we’re trying to provide a warm safe place in our town centre for people to come in to over the weeks\, and months ahead.\n\n\n\nTo be effective and make a difference\, we’re opening up every Monday from 9am through to 3pm. We’ll be providing tea\, coffee\, biscuits\, soup and rolls…some basics that will help and bless people. We have set up in Iona/Columba rooms – Iona will have tables and chairs for those who want to come in and have some quiet space to work\, to read or study. Columba will be set out more socially – where people can chat\, maybe play board games\, do some knitting\, attack the crossword!\n\n\n\nWe have some great folks come forward to help us host this important piece of community outreach.\n\n\n\nIf you want to know more…and if you’d like to join the “Monday Warm gang”!!…please give Caroline a ring in the Church Office (434404) or email ybcofficecoordinator@gmail.com ASAP.\n\n\n\nThank you

DESCRIPTION:Girls’ Brigade is a Christian organisation for girls which aims to gently allow space for girls to get to know God. \nIn Yeovil\, we have approximately 50 girls who follow through planned activities each week to earn badges & stickers. An evening for younger girls may include games\, lots of making\, story time and singing whilst once older an evening might contain DVD clips\, discussions\, cookery\, games\, craft\, learning practical skills\, a snack devotional times \nWe regularly have themed evenings which may include everyone going swimming\, or cooking or having a pampering session! We enjoy parties together\, day trips\, occasional sleepovers\, BBQs and an annual camp for the older girls. \nThe older girls can also work towards the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and the Queens Award\, whilst also gaining the benefits of four weekends of leadership training as they grow up through Brigade. \nWe have a monthly Sunday Parade (Family) service which we encourage girls to attend and we wear a crested hoody and navy skirt as our uniform. All our staff have completed Officer Training and are CRB checked regularly. DESCRIPTION:AWOL has been running for sometime; it is a group for Year 10 plus and allows young people to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed way\, with their peers and ask as many questions as they want. \nIt is great to have them join together and question what Christianity is in such a time and who Jesus is and the relationship he longs for with us all. \nIf you are interested in this group please contact Dave Hibbin or Jude Williams via the church website contact page (with parental consent) and we will get in touch to let you know more.

DESCRIPTION:Every Sunday at YBC we have a worship service; on the first Sunday of the month is communion. \nWe livestream our service to through our YouTube Channel from 10:00am and our service starts at 10:30am. If your unable to get to YBC on a Sunday why not join us on line you would be very welcome. \nHowever\, it would be great to get to know you and see you in church. There is also coffee / Tea and a biscuit and at home you would have to make this yourself!!!

SUMMARY:Girls Brigade
DESCRIPTION:Girls’ Brigade is a Christian organisation for girls which aims to gently allow space for girls to get to know God. \nIn Yeovil\, we have approximately 50 girls who follow through planned activities each week to earn badges & stickers. An evening for younger girls may include games\, lots of making\, story time and singing whilst once older an evening might contain DVD clips\, discussions\, cookery\, games\, craft\, learning practical skills\, a snack devotional times \nWe regularly have themed evenings which may include everyone going swimming\, or cooking or having a pampering session! We enjoy parties together\, day trips\, occasional sleepovers\, BBQs and an annual camp for the older girls. \nThe older girls can also work towards the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and the Queens Award\, whilst also gaining the benefits of four weekends of leadership training as they grow up through Brigade. \nWe have a monthly Sunday Parade (Family) service which we encourage girls to attend and we wear a crested hoody and navy skirt as our uniform. All our staff have completed Officer Training and are CRB checked regularly.
