Hebrews 11.1-12
It’s there on our coins, for the time being at least: Elizabeth II D.G.REG – by the grace of God Queen – F.D. – defender of the faith.
2nd November 2008: I Believe in the Holy, Catholic Church
1 Peter 1
I remember visiting Salisbury Cathedral in my late teens one afternoon and staying on for Choral Evensong. It must have been the first time I’d ever been to such a service because of how surprised I was when it came to the Creed. 5th October 2008: God's Promise to Abram
Genesis 15.1-7
My niece is had a hard time trying to pass her driving test. Every week when I phoned Southampton I enquired after her – heard a recently, however, that at long last, after attempt number 5 she has passed.
28th September 2008 am: Loaves and Fishes
Matthew 14. 13-21
One of my favourite bible stories is the Feeding of the 5000 and it is, I suppose, a rather obvious choice for a sermon on Harvest festival Sunday.
