In Love and Remembrance Service: June 14th 2009

On Sunday we gathered at 6.30pm for our In Love and Remembrance Service.  During this time of quiet reflective worship we heard the story of Lazarus from the New Testament and prayed for organisations like St Margaret's Hospice and Macmillan Nurses. The service concluded as 39 names were read out and candles lit - each name representing someone special who has died.  The service was a time to remember and give thanks - also a time to ask for God's strength for coming days.
