We began our celebrations of Easter Day with an 8.30am Communion Service - at which Andrew was welcomed in as a new Church Member - and this was followed by breakfast together in the Iona/Columba Room. 160 folk gathered for Morning Service at 10.30am which this year was All Age. We listened to Junior Church sing 'Easter Song' and were led in worship as Hymneo, our singing group, sang three pieces. The talk was based on the story of Cleopas and his fellow disciple walking to Emmaus that first Easter Sunday evening. Later in the day many of us attended the Town Centre service at St John's at which Bishop Timothy Dudley Smith (father of the Rector) introduced a number of his hymns.
