The Town Centre ministers have just left the manse after our monthly meeting – at which we drink tea and chat – so I am able to ‘blog’ after a fortnight off!

Last Saturday members of our church youth group, Solid Rock, gave up an afternoon of their weekend in offering ‘service’ to our church family. In the Chapel Lounge they served refreshments, cleaned shoes and polished silverwear. One of their leaders even fixed the camcorder connection to my computer.

This week I have taken the Communion Services at both The South Street Happy Hour and Lockwood Court Fellowship; fifteen people were in attendance at each!

The Wise Men have been and gone and Christmas seems far longer than two weeks ago! The children have returned to school and the many houselights that had sparkled around Forde Park have all been taken down, or at least turned off.

It certainly is a ‘cold and frosty’ morning – I’ve just come in from chiselling the ice off Rachel’s car before she takes the boys and herself to school.

So we’ve had the last Church Meeting of the year – thank you if you came along – the Chapel Lounge was full with just over forty of us present. I know Julie S has been much encouraged by the emails and phone calls she has received after presenting her first budget – she has put an enormous amount of work into this and I’m very grateful to her.
